Me,food & Matt loving our kids on purpose.

Matt always says that there is no record of me on our blog because I am always the one behind the camera. I was inspired last night at Scott's Douglas's Birthday, by Katy McDaniel's AWESOME cold noodle salad. I searched a couple of websites and combined the recipes that I found on one of favorite blogs http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2008/03/my_most_favorite_salad_ever_ever_ever_ever/ and a recipe from  Recipe Zaar http://www.recipezaar.com/recipe/Asian-Sesame-Noodle-Salad-With-Peanut-Dressing-Vegetarian-154432  plus a few changes of my own and this is what we got. It was really good and VERY filling. I did it all while watching old episodes of Little House On The Prairie so I am a pretty happy girl right now.

Ahh, life is good. I am still watching Little House On The Prairie while Matt implements some of the things we learned at yesterdays parenting seminar. At the moment Tessa has decided she is not sleepy so Matt just gave her a task. She is chilly so he just brought her a jacket. Now she is not happy and is feeling very sleepy. I am glad Matt is loving our kids on purpose, I just don't have the energy right now.

Today

Well Tessa caught Tully's flu just when I thought we were in the clear and everyone was healthy. It's so sad to see your kids sick and know that there is nothing you can really do for them. Here is a picture from today. She really wanted to eat but couldn't, she ended up falling asleep on the couch with a cracker in her hand.

Tully has been cracking me up lately. He has always been kind of secretly funny. I always find things around the house that I may or may not understand but Tully always knows exactly what he is doing or playing. This is what I found today.

George with a gas mask and monkey bank with rubber band head band and earrings . Of course.

Sick

Baby girl is 4

Baby girl turned 4 a couple weeks ago and we had her party today. She wanted a Barbie Rocket Ship party. Hmm, hard to figure that one out since she rarely plays with Barbie. She is so obviously a girl with an older brother, and I love it.

I can't believe that Tessa is 4! I feel like I blinked and she went from sweet baby to funny little girl. It makes me so thankful to be a stay at home mom. This time goes so quickly and I am so grateful for it!
